This project is an extension to an existing kindergarten. The brief was to extend the building to accommodate a further 10 children, upgrade the children’s toilets and create additional office space. The final design caters for 45 children in total. Avondale Christian Kindergarten operates both sessional and full day care for children over the age of two and a half.

St. George’s Preschool is a brand new childcare centre for 50 children, located on a rear site, utilising the existing Church car park. The centre caters for 10 under twos and 40 over twos. The total internal floor area is 285sqm, with an outdoor activity area of 300sqm.

This building is located on a sloping corner of a school playing field, under some majestic and very old Pohutukawa. Working with the restraints of the land was a challenge, but the final result is a very functional and aesthetic centre for 46 children, ten of which are under two years old.

This 50 child ECE centre is located on a school site and has been designed to integrate with the surrounding buildings. An existing classroom was moved to make room for the centre. An open plan design was part of the brief to maximise a confined site. This design is compact but extremely functional.
White Heron Learning Centre – Dawson Road

This large flat site is a perfect fit for 80 children spread over three activity rooms and 417sqm of internal floor space. 18 car parks and 440sqm of outdoor activity complete this centre and ensure the land is maximised.
